It seems that most people my age don’t date. They either hook up or are in relationships. I see very little middle ground.
I don’t like it. I believe in casual dating. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with hanging out with and going on dates with and talking to a few guys or girls at a time. If you’re not in a relationship, you’re not committed or exclusive. My mom tells me so many stories about how she casually dated growing up. And I think it’s a beautiful thing. You’re exploring, learning new things about several different people, figuring out what you do and do not like, what you do and do not want in a relationship.
Don’t make me feel bad for letting a boy buy me dinner and a movie even though I have no intention of being exclusive. At this point in my life, I deserve to be treated.
