Hm… valid. You are correct. My logic is this: yes, I’m asking how you are because I actually do care how you are. But, when you respond each time with, “I’m tired, you?” it gets irritating. I’m just not generally a fan of complaints. Every once in a while, I get it, it’s fine. It gets annoying when that’s all I hear, mostly because, as I said, we’re all tired. I’m tired frequently, but I never complain about it because I understand that I’m not special because of it.
But, perhaps I shouldn’t open up the question if I’m not willing to be receptive to the response.
